Meezo Driver Privacy Policy

This Driver Privacy Policy explains how Meezo collects, uses, stores, and protects information related to drivers who use the Meezo platform. By using the Meezo Driver App, the driver agrees to the practices described in this policy.
Meezo collects driver information to manage driver accounts, support order delivery, show maps and live locations, track earnings and settlements, and maintain operational, security, and payment records.

- To create and manage driver accounts
- To authenticate login using email and password

- To support customer communication for valid delivery-related reasons
- To maintain safety, platform monitoring, and service reliability
5. Location Information
Meezo collects, processes, and stores driver live and background location data to support order assignment, navigation, delivery tracking, customer updates, and operational monitoring.

The Meezo Driver app collects and uses driver location data to:
- Assign nearby delivery requests
- Provide navigation and route guidance
- Track the progress of active deliveries
- Share the driver's live location with customers during active deliveries
- Improve delivery accuracy, safety, and operational efficiency
Location data may be collected even when the app is closed, running in the background, or not actively in use, so that active deliveries can continue to be tracked and customers can view the driver's real-time location during the delivery process.
Background location collection is active only when:
- The driver is logged into the Meezo Driver app and marked as Online; or
- The driver has an active delivery assigned or in progress.
Meezo uses location data solely for delivery-related operations and service functionality. Location data is not sold or shared with third-party advertising partners.
6. Cash Collection and Settlement Information
If a driver collects money from a customer, Meezo may record the amount collected, settlement details, submission history, pending balances, and related payment information.
Meezo may collect and store additional identity and payment-related information such as date of birth, home address, NIC number, and bank account details where required for driver verification, compliance, settlement processing, payment management, or operational record keeping.
7. Data Sharing
- With managers for driver management, settlement review, safety, and operational oversight
- With authorized support staff for account or delivery issue resolution
- With customers only as needed for delivery completion, such as driver name or contact-related information
- When required by law or to protect platform safety, business rights, or service operations
8. Driver Privacy Responsibilities
- Customer data must not be misused
- Customer contact details must be used only for delivery purposes
- Drivers must not request or collect extra unauthorized payment
- Visible data must be used only for official platform and delivery work
9. Data Protection
Meezo takes reasonable technical and operational steps to protect driver data from unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no system can guarantee complete security.
10. Data Retention
Meezo may retain driver account records, order history, cash collection records, settlement records, and related activity information for operational, security, legal, and support purposes.
11. Policy Updates
Meezo may update this Driver Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the driver platform after updates means acceptance of the revised policy.
